Dr Jonathan Hersch is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon who is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery. His practice consists of arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee. He is one of very few doctors in South Florida to perform hip arthroscopy on patients with various hip disorders. In addition Dr Hersch performs shoulder replacement surgery including reverse total shoulder replacements using computer assisted GPS technology for a patient specific approach to joint replacement. Dr Hersch also takes care of upper and lower extremity fractures.

A native New Yorker, Dr. Hersch completed his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine and then completed an internship in general surgery at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. It was there that Dr. Hersch also completed his residency in orthopedic surgery . Dr. Hersch then relocated to Cleveland, Ohio, where he completed a Fellowship in sports medicine at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. While living in Cleveland, Dr. Hersch assisted the team physicians for the Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Cavaliers, and the Cleveland Rockers. During fellowship Dr Hersch won the award for the best research project among all the fellows of the Orthopedic Department.

He then relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he was the Director of Sports Medicine at Albert Einstein Medical Center, as well as the Head Team Physician for La Salle University, NCAA. At Einstein, Dr Hersch trained residents in the art of arthroscopy and trauma care.

In 2004, Dr. Hersch relocated to Florida, where he has been the Medical Director for professional tennis organizations and Team Physician for university and high school athletic programs. Dr Hersch has been practicing Orthopedics in Boca Raton for the last 10 years and brings over 22 years of experience to OSA.

Dr Hersch is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, Arthroscopy Association of North America, the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy and the Florida Orthopedic Society.

In his free time Dr Hersch is an extremely active cyclist, pickleball player and weight lifter.
